Enrolling Yourself & Others in Content
Enrolling advisors and managers in content is an essential way to get content in front of them and keep them engaged. It helps new advisors develop critical skills and learn best practices from top producers and subject matter experts, and experienced advisors who are looking for new ideas or strategies to help polish their craft. In this episode, we’ll show you how to enroll yourself and others in courses within the HPN University and how to keep your advisors accountable for their assignments.
Utilizing Skills Assessments
Many field leaders love our Skills Assessment tool because they have a direct impact on behavior change and provide the advisor with immediate, practical best practices they can apply to their business. In this episode, we’re going to focus on how you can utilize these assessments with advisors you’re coaching to increase productivity. Based on best practices of top advisors in the industry, these one-page PDF documents feature 20 best practices around prospecting, listening, fact finding, and closing.
Incorporating the Buddy System in Your Training

It contains two tools to help your advisors, Phone Buddy, and Prospecting Buddy, especially those who are struggling with making their dials, booking appointments, and handling objections. In this episode, we’ll share how to access this tool and best practices on how to use it.
Implementing Weekly Classroom Training
As managers, we know you’re out there busy recruiting and some of you are personally producing as well, and the last thing you have time to do is to come up with content that you’re going to present at your weekly skill builders. In this episode, we’ll focus on how to leverage our Classroom Training Curriculum, a turn-key approach designed for training each week to save you a tremendous amount of time and energy. Classroom Training provides you with an extensive faculty of third-party experts to reinforce some of the key messages you’ve been delivering.
Classroom Training Best Practices
In the last session, we introduced you to HPNU’s Classroom Training. We showed you how it works and how the modules are divided up. If you found yourself overwhelmed with the classroom content, in this episode, we’ll help you break it down and show you how to utilize our 24-month prefabricated curriculum. These best practices will help you design your own classroom training and even gain the participation of veteran advisors.
Utilizing the Initial Training Roadmap
When we hire new advisors to our organizations, oftentimes they have little or no knowledge of the financial services industry. They may have many other valuable life experiences and skills but not necessarily in our field of expertise. To the extent that we can familiarize them with our industry, functions, and skills, they will progress quickly in the training process. In this episode, we’ll show you how to utilize the Initial Training Roadmap, ideal for agencies or organizations that don’t have a formal or consistent initial training program in place for new advisors or interns.
Implementing Advisor Development Roadmaps
In this episode, we’ll share how to utilize our Years 1 – 3 Advisor Development Roadmaps as part of the ongoing coaching process. These roadmaps enable you to provide weekly coaching for your advisors and hold them accountable for taking responsibility for their own skill development. The Advisor Development Roadmaps should provide you with a turn-key approach to coaching each week and help you to keep those mentoring sessions fresh and productive.
Utilizing Virtual Coach & Pro Series
As a manager, we know that your time is precious, and planning out an entire curriculum for all of your advisors in any stage of their career can be taxing. In this episode, we’ll show you how to use our HPN Virtual Coach and the PRO Series. Both programs are designed for self-study and advisors new and experienced can complete these at their own pace.
